Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Rocky Campground temperatures descend to the 10's. Pit River is a tremendous whitewater spot right next door to Rocky Campground, and there are plenty of people from Old Station here. You absolutely   must like the Southern Cascade Range. A tour to Lassen National Forest when you're here at Rocky Campground is a nice idea; do take a hike on the Hanna Trail. The yearly rainfall here at Rocky Campground is about average; January is the wettest month with most snow while July is ordinarily the driest month. Lots of people stay here through their spree to Lassen National Forest. Rocky Campground beyond doubt is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Rocky Campground; Bunchgrass Trail is a great local trail, and a visit to Ahjumawi Lava Springs State Park when you're here is never a bad idea. Some of the things you can do here at Rocky Campground are whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t get bored. Rocky Campground is a very popular campground with people of Old Station. This section of California is always a diversion to visit through camping season. The Southern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.
