You can run the rapids of Santa Margarita River next to Rincon Mesa Campground, and Palomar Mountain State Park is a fine site to go. At Rincon Mesa Campground through the summer months highs are in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are typically in the 60's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Rincon Mesa Campground.
