All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Rim Campground. McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park, and since you're here, you could explore Burney Creek. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Rim Campground is so good! You don’t have to go far from Rim Campground to see the water at Pit Number Three Dam, and in case you don’t mind
getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pit River. Yeah, come up here to the Southern Cascade Range for a pleasant time. There's great hiking along the Rough and Ready Trail; if you have time to spare, Lassen Volcanic National Park is a national park
worth checking out. Rim Campground is a great camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Southern Cascade Range. This is such a fun spot for a campground. Good hiking is available along the Coal Mine Trail, and a visit to Ahjumawi Lava Springs State Park is a great idea.
Lots of rainfall falls at Rim Campground; most of the rain falls throughout January, and July is when it's the driest. Loads of folks stay here to be close to McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park.
