Some folks stay at this campground so they can go to Weaverville Joss House State Park. While you're here at Ridgeville Island Campground you will meet lots of people from nearby Lewiston;
Chicken Flat is a great site.

won’t run out of things to do. Camping out indisputably is a great thing to do, and Ridgeville Island Campground in California is such a fine location. This camp ground is one of the good spots to camp here in the Klamath Mountains.
A normal amount of rain falls here at Ridgeville Island Campground; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This campground is so beautiful. Shasta National Forest is both great and wonderful, and it's next to Ridgeville Island Campground, and Digger Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out.
Summertime highs at Ridgeville Island Campground mostly tend to be in the 80's; the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, generally in the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Ridgeville Island Campground are in the 20's. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Klamath Mountains. Weaverville Joss House State Park is a brilliant site to visit on a delightful day; in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Coffee Creek.
