Ridge Campground, Northern Sierra Nevada, California Custom Search   This camp ground is one of the good spots to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The annual precipitation here at Ridge Campground is about average; through the month of January you get the most snow around here, and the driest of the months is July. Summertime highs at Ridge Campground frequently tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Ridge Campground. Nearby lakes? Good hiking is available along the Big Spring Trail, and glide down the rapids of Truckee River in a kayak. There's a load of outdoors recreation available close at hand such as fishing, swimming, playing golf, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so running out of fun things to do won’t happen. This is really a wonderful campground. Don't forget to take a brilliant little tour to Cold Creek; an afternoon playing golf at Old Greenwood Golf Course is always a diversion. Camping out positively is a great thing to do; Ridge Campground is a tremendous local campground if you happen to be in California. Quite a lot of exciting things to do close to Ridge Campground; it is a fun place for everybody.   The surroundings of this campground have such an incredible array of things to offer. So many local attractions and such an incredible array of things to do are great reasons to come. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Truckee River, and if you come at the right time of year, Yuba River - South Fork offers some good whitewater. Go for a hike on the Warren Lake Trail; there are plenty of people from Truckee here. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Ridge Campground. Tahoe National Forest is a good spot to have a look at on a delightful day, and you are close to China Cove since you're here. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Near Ridge Campground you discover a golf course called Ponderosa Golf Course, and Jackass Point is a peak you can spot from Ridge Campground. Having a good time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is painless. Very scenic scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Tahoe Donner, and there are good locations to look at along the Painted Rock Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Ridge Campground. Going to Donner Memorial State Park next to Ridge Campground is a perfect thing to do, and Ridge Campground is in close proximity to Coldstream Valley which is certainly worth a visit. This campground is so pretty. Tahoe Donner Golf Course is a golf course right next door to Ridge Campground; going for a hike on the Granite Chief Trail is always a good adventure. A lot of folks stay at this campground in order to be close to Donner Memorial State Park. Ridge Campground is a very popular old favorite campground among the residents of Truckee.
