With such a large number of things to do in California you'll never get bored. There's more to do close to Red Alder Campground other than just hanging out such as hiking, whitewater paddling, fishing, and swimming, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen.

Red Alder Campground is a reasonably wet place frequently with a large amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is December while July is regularly the driest month.
