This is a great campground. Going for a hike along the Crea Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and if you want to hit the beach, Crescent Beach is close by. What a site this is for outdoors people. If time allows, Redwood National and State Parks is a national park worth checking out, and Red Alder Campground is right by the French Hill Trail.
If you go for the outdoors, you won’t
    be disenchanted; there's fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so you won’t get bored. A campground like this is too great to miss. Take a hike on the Hope Creek Trail; there's some flowing water close by, East Fork Mill Creek is a stream you can go to while you're
here. Red Alder Campground is located in an area with scores of cool stuff to do, and when you're here you're always having a good time.
Red Alder Campground is frequently visited by the folks in Crescent City. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Packsaddle Trail, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Goose Creek.

The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and night lows during the wintertime for Red Alder Campground tend to be in the 30's. The magnificent local attractions and such a magnificent variety of outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back time and again.
Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park is a good spot to stretch your legs a bit, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Paradise Trail. And that's not everything you can do here in the Coast Ranges. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Smith River - North Fork, and Red Alder Campground is in close proximity to Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park which is a charming spot. When was the last time you went for a weekend of camping? Red Alder Campground is a good local campground if you happen to be in California.
