Some activities here at Red Alder Campground are fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so possibly you want to stay a while. Lots of folks stay at this campground in order to be in the vicinity of Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park. When you're here at Red Alder Campground it's always fun to stop at Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, and of course East Fork Mill Creek flows through this area.

All through the warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the 60's at Red Alder Campground. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Red Alder Campground. This campground is so beautiful.

This is beyond doubt a glorious campground. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Red Alder Campground; Hope Creek
Trail is a great local trail, and the Packsaddle Trail offers hiking at its best. When was the last occasion you went camping for a couple of days? Red Alder Campground in California is a really great site to spend some time.
Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even
more fun things to do here in the Coast Ranges. A journey to Redwood National and State Parks is worthwhile, and get soaked paddling on Smith River - South Fork. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Coast Ranges is great! Go for a hike on the Paradise Trail; get yourself
into a kayak and hit Goose Creek.
The tremendous variety of local attractions and such an incredible array of things to do are glorious motives to come. All the water falling down from the sky makes Red Alder Campground a wet site; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; July on the other hand is the driest.
