Such a great pick of attractions and such a large number of things to do will positively have you coming back persistently. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Yuba River - South Fork; great skiing awaits you at Royal Gorge. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Poppy Campground. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Poppy Campground called the Rubicon Trail, as expected you could also pop by French Meadows Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. This is such a beautiful campground. Everybody loves Donner Memorial State Park, and hiking along the Parsley Bar Trail is glorious fun.
