popular ski area close at hand, and paddling on Willow Creek is so much fun. A lot of people stay at this campground for the purpose of being close to Sierra National Forest. Placer Campground gets a great deal of water; January is when you get the most rain here, and July is the
month with the least moisture. Outdoors people generally go for this segment of California. And that's not all you can do here at Placer Campground. Lakes are great; Mammoth Pool Reservoir is a lake that's close to Placer Campground, and since you're here at Placer Campground it's a tremendous idea to pop by Forked Meadow.
