Getting to this primitive campground could be fairly hard, but it's well worth it; at this primitive campground you can get a
 better wilderness experience than you would get at a more civilized campground. Camping in California is such an enjoyable thing to do.

More or less four days is roughly the quantity of time you need to backcountry walk the Cactus Spring Trail, a hard backcountry hiking trail. 9,055 feet of altitude variation
 
and 55.3 miles of backcountry backpacking is what you get at Pacific Crest Trail - section 4, a delightful backcountry hiking trail in close proximity.
