Corral Canyon is a nice place to have a look at nearby, and
hiking along the Summit Trail is splendid fun. Summertime highs at Piney Creek Campground mostly tend to be in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 40's to Piney Creek Campground.
This campground has everything. Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park is a good location to stop at on a beautiful day; get wet paddling on Arroyo Seco River. All the fine local attractions in close proximity and all the outdoors recreation are fine reasons to come.
