The Above Highway 36 to Highway 36 portion of Hayfork Creek is suggested for paddlers of medium skill. Check restrictions previous to going on the whitewater, otherwise it's not safe and sound. The 6.7-mile-long Divide Trail is a delightful wilderness hiking trail boasting a magnificent 1,022-foot height difference. When you're backcountry trekking the tough Divide Trail you should plan more or less five hours for the backcountry trek. A great 43-mile-from-beginning-to-end charming hiking trail boasting an elevation variation of 3,844 feet can be encountered  
in close proximity; this is the Humboldt Trail. Hiking the Humboldt Trail, a difficult hiking trail, calls for about five days.
