There's heaps of outdoors recreation available around here such as swimming, hiking, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do. This campground is so scenic. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Burnside Lake Trail; float down the rapids of Mokelumne River - North Fork in a kayak.
If you are in California during camping season, you should go camping. This camp ground is positioned in the scenic Northern Sierra Nevada.
There are some perfect whitewater spots on Carson River - East Fork; as expected Pacific Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth visiting. Pacific Valley Campground is a wet place that gets much rain; the month with most of the snow is January, and the driest of the months is July.
Pacific Valley Campground is an old favorite with the people in Markleeville.
