Onion Creek Campground, Northern Sierra Nevada, California Custom Search   You cannot get close to this campground in January under 10+ feet of snow. Sure its 3.5 miles from Ice Lakes Lodge on a bumpy dirt road, getting to some of the other spots they mentioned would be quite a trek especially if not in a 4x4 or dirt bike. Very rugged terrain. Can't wait to set up that camp site; Onion Creek Campground in California is just the place. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yuba River - South Fork, and people from Soda Springs love to come here. Onion Creek Campground is loved by people from Soda Springs. While you're here at Onion Creek Campground you can take a hike along the Heath Falls Overlook Trail. Some close by water includes Cedar Creek, and Fordyce Creek is a brilliant whitewater spot nearby. Some people opt for this campground for the purpose of being close to Tahoe National Forest. Onion Creek Campground is one of the   locations to camp here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you come to this campground, you will have a pleasant time for sure. On a fine day at Onion Creek Campground you can take a hike along the Tevis Cup Trail, and you're possibly hooked on lakes, Dulzura Lake is one of those close by. So many exciting things to do at Onion Creek Campground, so little time. The summit of Crows Nest can be seen from Onion Creek Campground, and Tahoe National Forest is a tremendous place to stop at. So much amusing stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. Going for a hike on the Long Valley Trail is always a nice adventure, and Donner Memorial State Park is a fine site. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The Lola Montez Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Onion Creek Campground; Sugar Bowl is a very popular ski area nearby. While dropping by this area in California it's a brilliant idea to go camping for a couple of days too.
