The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while Old Man Campground night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 20's.
A number of people stay at Old Man Campground for the purpose of being in the vicinity of Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. Old Man Campground is enormously well liked by people of Lakehead.
This campground is a picturesque place to pop by. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Mount Shasta is close to Old Man Campground. Hiking along the Dry Creek Trail is pleasant fun; you obtain a great sight of Jackass Mountain from here.
