  Oak Bottom Campground is an old favorite with the folks of Somes Bar. So many fun things to do in the Klamath Mountains, not enough time. If you come at the right time of year, Salmon River offers some wonderful whitewater; Six Rivers National Forest is a pretty location any time of year. Through the long summer days at Oak Bottom Campground highs are ordinarily in the 90's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Oak Bottom Campground temperatures descend to the
    30's.
All the outdoors amusing things in the neighborhood of Oak Bottom Campground will keep you coming back repeatedly. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Klamath River, and there's good hiking along the Salmon Summit Recreation Trail. Oak Bottom Campground gets lots
of water; December is the wettest month with most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. You've gotta get out, and Oak Bottom Campground in California is a glorious pick.
The Horse Ridge National Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best, and why not take a little trip to Somes Creek while you're here. The Klamath Mountains scenery is always picturesque. A glorious sight of stunning East Peak is available from Oak Bottom Campground; a lake nearby is Ogaromtoc Lake.
As if Oak Bottom Campground wasn't enough, you can also go swimming, whitewater
 
paddling, fishing, and hiking, so probably you want to stay a while.
This spot, the Klamath Mountains, has so much outdoors fun things. Oak Bottom Campground is right by the Garden Gulch Trail; you'll almost certainly meet some people from Somes Bar here. This campground is always a diversion. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Wooley Creek.
Outdoors folks generally like this section of California. This is such a picturesque campground. Klamath National Forest is a splendid place to stretch your legs a bit; Three Dollar Bar is a pleasant place to spend some time.
The splendid local attractions and such an incredible array of things to do will certainly have you coming back over and over.
