North Lake Campground is pretty arid mostly; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain; June is the month with the least moisture. Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to go home again. If you come at the right time of year, San Joaquin River - South Fork offers some delightful whitewater, and don't leave North Lake Campground without first going for a hike along the Kings River Trail. if North Lake Campground wasn't enough, you can also go hiking, whitewater paddling, swimming, and fishing, so it's just not possible to get bored. Summertime highs at North Lake Campground usually tend to be in the 90's, and the night is quite chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; overnight lows in the 20's for North Lake Campground.
