But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Good hiking is available along the Kings River Trail; paddling on Kings River - Middle Fork is so much fun. High temperatures at North Lake Campground during the warmest time of the year are in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Campground during the wintertime ordinarily descend into the 20's. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop by Grass Lake near North Lake Campground, and a quick trip to North Fork Lamarck Creek is absolutely a nice idea. North Lake Campground is mostly a pretty dry
site; throughout January this area sees the most rain, and June is when it's the driest. If time allows, Devils Postpile National Monument is a national park worth taking a look at, and drift down the rapids of San Joaquin River - South Fork in a kayak. Not enough hours in
a day to enjoy this location. There's more to do close to North Lake Campground other than just hanging out such as swimming, hiking, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so running out of fun things to do won’t happen.
