North Lake Campground, Central Sierra Nevada, California Custom Search   Located at an elevation of 9,500 feet, North Lake Campground is a perfect place for hikers and fishermen. It is conveniently located near well stocked North Lake. There are 11 campsites available, and they are for tent campers only. All sites are either open or well shaded. Facilities include piped water, fire rings, vault toilets, and additional parking at the day use area. North Lake Campground is available on a first-come, first serve basis only.       I have never seen it in the 90's in summer (way to high for those temps), and I am sure it is a heck of lot colder than 50's in the winter Says Peter Naturally it could be demanding to get to a primitive campground such as   North Lake Campground, but it's worth the effort. Of course amenities are few in a primitive campground such as this; the natural beauty at this primitive campground is wonderful. This camp ground is one of the delightful locations to camp here in the Central Sierra Nevada. There's such an incredible array of things to do at North Lake Campground including playing golf, swimming, hiking, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so most likely you want to stick       around for a while. The nice variety of local attractions and all the outdoors recreation will make you glad you came. You may experience the wilderness at its greatest at primtive campgrounds such as North Lake Campground.   Get your camping stuff packed and leave the city behind; North Lake Campground in California is just the place. So much exciting stuff in the neighborhood of North Lake Campground, and being here is always fun. If you are in California through camping season, you have to go camping.
