Don't leave Moraine Campground without first going for a hike along the High Sierra Trail, and if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kings River. There are great spots to look at along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 11, and some of the water nearby flows, like Hotel Creek. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Sentinel Dome is pretty and can   be spotted from Moraine Campground, and there is a splendid hiking trail nearby called the Don Cecil Trail. This is such a fun spot for a campground. Good hiking is available along the Sawtooth Pass Trail; get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Kings River - Middle Fork. The delightful pick of local attractions, and the delightful variety of outdoors recreation will unquestionably have you coming back many times. The Southern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. This campground is a beautiful spot to visit. While dropping by this region in California it's a pleasant idea to go for a weekend of camping too. Summertime highs at Moraine Campground generally tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures at Moraine Campground dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
