Antelope Valley State Park is both great and stunning, and it's next to Mint Canyon Campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Mint Canyon Campground; Gold Canyon Trail is a good local trail. This campground is so nice. And if that's not enough there's a lot more entertaining stuff to do in the Sierra Madre. Lots of people from Santa Clarita come to Mint Canyon Campground, and going for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 8 is always a great adventure.
