If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Sierra Madre. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Piru Creek; Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area is a great place close by. This camp ground is one of the great places to camp here in the Sierra Madre.

Middle Lion Campground
is pretty dried up commonly; February is when you get the most rain here while July is usually the driest month. This campground is a fine place to have a look at. Good hiking is available along the Horn Canyon Trail; Los Padres National Forest is a wonderful place to go.
