San Onofre State Beach is a good place to go if you're at Lower San Juan Campground; on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Los Pinos Trail. So many enjoyable things in the Santa Ana Mountains, just mind-blowing.
Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Santa Margarita River; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Morgan Trail. So many local attractions and the splendid variety of outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back time
and again.
So many amusing things in the vicinity of Lower San Juan Campground, and it's one of those places where everything is perfect. A lot of people camp here throughout their trip to San Onofre State Beach.
