It's a great idea to have a look at Cold Creek, it's in the neighborhood of Lower Nye Campground; whitewater paddling is fine on Eel River. At Lower Nye Campground through the warm months highs are in the 90's with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's while Lower Nye Campground nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 30's.
