Lion Campground, Sierra Madre, California   Loads of people camp here to check out nearby Los Padres National Forest. There's magnificent hiking along the Middle Sespe Trail, and since you're here, you could also take a look at wonderful Lower Rose Lake. There's such a great deal of things to do at Lion Campground including hiking, swimming, whitewater paddling, and fishing, so you won’t get bored. Around Lion Campground you don’t get a lot of precipitation; through February this area sees the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This part of California is always a pleasure to go to during camping season. The surroundings of this campground have such a great deal of things to offer. Take a hike on the Piedra Blanca National Recreation Trail; if you have the time, Channel Islands National Park is a national park worth stopping at.
