This campground is so brilliant. If you come at the right time of year, Stanislaus River - South Fork offers some great whitewater, and swing by Duck Creek it's a great place to stop at. There's so much to do close to Lake Alpine Campground, and to be at this place is always fun.
Be careful coming to Lake Alpine Campground, you might not ever want to return home again. Going for a hike on the Emigrant Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and don’t forget to have a look at Rose Meadow since you're here at Lake Alpine Campground. Lake Alpine Campground is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; the month with most of the snow is January; the driest month is July.
