  There's loads of outdoors recreation available close by such as swimming, fishing, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t run out of things to do. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Kings River - Middle Fork, and do go to Middle Fork Bishop Creek since you're here at Intake Campground.
It is very dry here at Intake Campground usually; through January this area sees the most rain while June is ordinarily
    the driest month. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Central Sierra Nevada is great! There are some great whitewater spots on San Joaquin River - South Fork, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Kings River Trail.

why not have a look at Lake Sabrina close to Intake Campground; a trip to Bishop Park invigorates the soul.
As long as you love the outdoors you will love California. At this campground you will always have a magnificent time. If you want a little side trip, try Jawbone Canyon; going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.

Postpile National Monument is one of the destinations near Intake Campground that are tremendous to go to, and if you come at the right time of year, Kings River - Middle Fork offers some brilliant whitewater.
If you've got cabin fever from too much time inside, Don't be troubled; Intake Campground in California is such a great location. High temperatures at Intake Campground throughout the summertime are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; during the dark hours in the winter at Intake Campground temperatures dip to the 20's.
