This is such a fun spot for a campground. Glide down the rapids of Eel River in a kayak, and there are plenty of folks from Whitethorn here at Horse Mountain Campground. Horse Mountain Campground is liked by the folks in Whitethorn. Horse Mountain Campground is one of the spots to camp here in the Coast Ranges.
The high level of rain makes Horse Mountain Campground a quite wet site; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July is when it's the driest.
