Through the winter highs are in the 50's; overnight lows at Hidden Springs Campground all through the winter generally dip into the 30's. Hidden Springs Campground is a wet spot that gets lots of rainfall; most of the rain falls through December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This campground is so brilliant. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Van Duzen River; don't leave without visiting Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park. There's whitewater on Eel River for all you adrenaline junkies, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Lightning Trail.
