Plumas-Eureka State Park is a splendid spot to stretch your legs a bit. Haypress Campground is liked by the people in Sierra City. Go for a hike on the Deer Lake Trail, and locations like Tahoe National Forest are great to stop at. Hiking is a popular thing to do around
Haypress Campground; Butcher Ranch Trail is a great local trail, and Young America Lake is a brilliant lake nearby. If you come to this campground, you will have a good time for sure. There are some good whitewater spots on Yuba River - North Fork; don't leave Haypress Campground
without first going for a hike along the Bowman Mountain Trail. Among the things you can do right next door to Haypress Campground are whitewater paddling, hiking, fishing, and swimming, so you won’t run out of things to do. The amount of precipitation that falls at Haypress
