Butcher Ranch Trail offers hiking at its best. Yuba River - North Fork is a perfect whitewater spot near Haypress Campground; there's wonderful hiking along the Crooked Lakes Trail. While going to this neighborhood in California it's a tremendous idea to go for a camping trip
too. Tahoe National Forest is a fine place to stretch your legs a bit. This campground is so great. Sand Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and when you're here it's always fun to visit Plumas-Eureka State Park. Haypress Campground gets a common amount of yearly
rain; the month with most of the rain is January; July is when it's the driest. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Royal Gorge is in the vicinity of Haypress Campground, and don't leave Haypress Campground without first going for a hike along the Bowman Mountain Trail.
