Gerbode Valley is a wonderful location to look at; if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Bootjack Trail. A day at Rodeo Beach in the vicinity of Hawk Campground is time well spent, and there is a splendid
hiking trail close by called the Ben Johnson Trail. This campground is a pretty place to have a look at. Angel Island State Park is worth taking a look at if you're at Hawk Campground; a round of golf at nearby Presidio Golf Course is a fine way to kill some time.
A visit to
California is not complete without some camping. This is such a fun place for a campground. There are nice places to look at along the West Point Trail, and the scenery at Waldo Point Harbor is delightful.
Hawk Campground gets a typical amount of yearly rain; through January
this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is July. But wait, there's more to do next to Hawk Campground. If you haven’t been to Muir Woods National Monument, you ought to schedule some time for it while you're here, and popping by Golden Gate National Recreation Area is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
