The     wintertime brings highs down to the 50's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Hammerhorn Campground. The pleasant local attractions and the pleasant variety of outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back persistently. The annual rain here at Hammerhorn Campground is about average; the wettest month of the year is typically January, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is July. The surroundings of this campground have so much to offer. There's a heap of outdoors recreation available in the vicinity such as swimming, hiking, fishing, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Black Butte River; why not take a little tour to Buck Rock Creek since you're here. There is a fine hiking trail next to Hammerhorn Campground   called the Wrights Ridge Trail, and places like Barney Meadow are nice to have a look at. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. On a tremendous day at Hammerhorn Campground you can take a hike along the Soldier Trail; when you're here it's always fun to check out Mendocino National Forest. So many amusing things in the Klamath Mountains, just incredible. Get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Eel River - Middle Fork, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Smoke Howe Trail. This is in fact a pleasant campground. While you're here at Hammerhorn Campground you can take a hike along the French Trail, and do explore Hammerhorn Lake, it's a charming lake. Everybody must go camping now and then, and Hammerhorn Campground is a tremendous local campground if you happen to be in California.
