With its 2,662 foot difference   in elevation it's a beautiful hiking trail; the Piedra Blanca National Recreation Trail is 9.5 miles of nice backcountry hiking. You should set aside one and a half days to walk the challenging Piedra Blanca National Recreation Trail.
