Gumboat Campground, California   There's more to do right next door to Gumboat Campground other than just hanging out such as hiking, whitewater paddling, swimming, and fishing, so almost certainly you want to stick around for a while. All our national parks are glorious sites to stop by, and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is no exception. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. When you're here at Gumboat Campground it's always fun     to take a look at Castle Crags State Park. Lakes? Sure, Gumboot Lake is close by. Everybody loves Mumbo Basin, and Trinity River is a great whitewater spot close by. Scores of people camp here during their journey to Castle Crags State Park. All the delightful local attractions close at hand and the delightful variety of outdoors recreation are magnificent reasons to come. Alright, it's been too much time since you went outside, time's here for camping, and Gumboat Campground in California is a good place to go. This is a pleasant campground. The snow is good at Mount Shasta, and going for a hike on the Castle Lake Trail is always a splendid adventure. Gumboat Campground is situated in an area with lots of enjoyable things to do, and a lot of people are fond of coming here to get away. Gumboat Campground is pretty dried   up mostly; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Gumboat Campground usually tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Gumboat Campground dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. Near Gumboat Campground you stumble on the Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail which is a nice hiking trail; in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sacramento River. Shasta National Forest is a glorious location to stretch your legs a bit, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Echo Lake Trail. There are fine sites to look at along the Crags Trail; a splendid location for whitewater paddling is Trinity River - East Fork.
