Greys Mountain Campground, Central Sierra Nevada, California

I have been camping at greys mountain for abuot 10 years now. Long before they started chargine. Greys is the best place to camp. From fishing off the bridge or creek or playing in the meadows there is always something to do. Oh and if ya follow the trail through camp that leads to the great meadow you will come tto another narrow trail follow it a bit further and you will find the waterfall swimming holes and the silver cape for the younger ones who need more calm shallow water. Hope you all have fun up there! Says Shannon Thornton

Greys Mountain
Campground is a top choice with people of Wishon. There is a pleasant hiking trail next to Greys Mountain Campground called the Buena Vista Trail. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Badger Pass, and a great vista of wonderful Sivels Mountain is available. So many local attractions
and such a vast number of things to do will beyond doubt have you coming back over and over.
This camp ground is one of the great places to camp here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Through the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Greys Mountain Campground while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Greys Mountain Campground temperatures plunge to the 20's.
While going to this area in California it's a great idea to go camping

for a couple of days too. Near Greys Mountain Campground you stumble on the Panorama Trail which is a splendid hiking trail; Slick Rock is a wonderful place to go to while in the region. This campground is a great place to visit. Going for a hike on the Pohono Trail is always a good adventure, and Sierra National Forest is a splendid place to stop by.
There's so much to do near Greys Mountain Campground; it is a fun site for everyone. Just can't get enough of the Central Sierra Nevada. Millerton Lake State Park is a fine location, and Willow Creek is a great whitewater spot close by.
And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do next to Greys Mountain Campground. On a great day at Greys Mountain Campground you can take a hike along the Mono Meadow Trail, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Merced River - South Fork. Loads of fun is at this campground. A tremendous place like Soquel Meadow here at Greys Mountain Campground is too great to miss, and there are plenty of people from Wishon here at Greys Mountain Campground. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t get bored.
Many people stay at this campground in order to be in close proximity to Yosemite National Park. And if that's not enough there's plenty more fun things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. While you're here at Greys Mountain Campground you can take a hike along the Chilnualna Fall Trail, and going to Yosemite National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
Greys Mountain Campground gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; during the month of January you get the most rain around here, and July is when it's the driest.
