Just can't get enough of Gregory Beach Campground. The skiing at Mount Shasta is fine; Gregory Beach Campground is not the only site close by, Shasta Lake is a close by lake. Shasta National Forest is both good and delightful, and it's right next door to Gregory Beach Campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Sacramento River offers some glorious whitewater.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Gregory Beach Campground; Echo Lake Trail is a great local trail. On a gorgeous day you get a sight of Haycock Peak from Gregory Beach Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Sacramento River. Gregory Beach Campground gets very little rain; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July.
