Green Mountain is beautiful and can be seen from here. Going for a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 1 is always a wonderful adventure, and the vistas at Devils Postpile National Monument will blow your mind. Scores of folks camp here for the purpose of being in close proximity
to Sierra National Forest. The yearly precipitation here at Granite Creek Campground is about average; during the month of January you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is August. This is a brilliant campground. There are other spots here than Granite Creek Campground, for example Cora Lakes; Soldier Meadow is a good location to check out.
