Hiking along the Mammoth Rock Trail is tremendous fun, and at Florence Lake Campground you can observe Jackass Dike. This is a nice campground. So many fun things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not enough time. There are some great whitewater spots on Mono Creek; naturally, everyone loves Sierra National Forest. Creek is a good place to take a look at; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend San Joaquin River - South Fork. California is a great spot for campers. The delightful local attractions and the delightful variety of outdoors recreation
will make you pleased you came. If you haven’t been to Devils Postpile National Monument, you must schedule some time for it while you're here; why not take a refreshing hike along the Red Mountain Trail. Jackass Meadow is a scenic site any time of year; if you come at the right time of year, San Joaquin River - South Fork offers some good whitewater.
