Visit Elam Creek if you're here at Elam Campground, and if you haven’t been to Lassen Volcanic National Park, you should schedule some time for it while you're here. Camping out positively is a fun thing to do, and Elam Campground, California is a great place for getting out. Outdoors people generally go for   this part of California. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Feather River - North Fork, and there is a wonderful hiking trail nearby called the Yellow Creek Trail. On a great day at Elam Campground you can take a hike along the Childs Meadows Trail, and a journey here wouldn’t be complete without a spree to nearby Plumas National Forest. For the duration of the warm months highs here at Elam Campground get into the 90's while overnight lows are regularly in the 60's. For the duration of the winter the highs are mostly in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Elam Campground are in the 30's. Many people stay at this campground when going to Lassen Volcanic National Park. Man, is there lots of exciting stuff to do in the vicinity of Elam Campground. If the weather is great here at Elam Campground, you can go for a hike along the Carter Meadow Trail, and get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Feather River - North Fork.
