So much enjoyable stuff to do at Dorst Campground, so little time. So much cool stuff to do in the Southern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. A glorious spot for whitewater paddling close to Dorst Campground is Kaweah River - North Fork, and a fine forest nearby is Lost Grove. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Dorst Campground dip into the 30's.
