Good hiking is available along the Monte Rio Fire Trail; Big Sulphur Creek is a fine whitewater spot close by. This campground is so perfect. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Doran Campground; Tomales Point Trail is a nice local trail; a trip to Austin Creek State Park when
you're here is never a bad idea.
If you're here, you might as well stop by Doran Spit, and Bodega Head is beautiful and can be distinguished from here. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do close to Doran Campground. Here at Doran Campground there are plenty of
people from Bodega Bay; why not take a refreshing hike along the Jepson Trail.
It's just not possible to run out of cool things to do near Doran Campground; it is a wonderful escape from the routine. Bodega Harbor is relatively near Doran Campground, and some exciting geology
is available here, South Jetty is right here. Doran Campground is a very popular old favorite campground among the folks of Bodega Bay.
