Trail; if you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Lone Pine. All the outdoors cool things in the Southern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back time and again. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Kern River - South Fork, and why not a little side visit to Diaz Creek.
| There are some fine whitewater spots on Kern River, and a great place like Sequoia National Forest is too splendid to leave out. Diaz Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at; MT Whitney Golf Course is a golf course close by. If only every place had this much outdoors fun things, what a great globe it would be. Good hiking is available along the Pat Keyes Trail. Diaz Lake Campground is one of the places to camp here in the Southern Sierra Nevada. and October meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Diaz Lake Campground, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Diaz Lake
Campground. There's more to do in close proximity to Diaz Lake Campground other than just hanging out such as fishing, swimming, playing golf, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so it's just not possible to get bored. Camping in California is such an enjoyable thing to do.
