Church Creek is a fine local stream. Having a good time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is painless. A wonderful lake like Mud Lake near Diablo Campground is a fine place to have a look at, and everybody loves Lusk Meadows. Diablo Campground is not far at all from Sierra City;
of course, everybody loves Malakoff Diggins State Park. The good variety of local attractions and such a vast number of things to do are great incentives to come. Some activities here at Diablo Campground are whitewater paddling, swimming, fishing, and hiking, so getting bored
is not something that is likely to happen. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Diablo Campground. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Lavezzola Creek; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Third Divide Trail.
Through the summer months at Diablo Campground highs are frequently in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's while Diablo Campground nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's.
