Dewey Campground is in the neighborhood of L L Anderson Dam which is a pretty location undeniably worth checking out, and Eldorado National Forest is a good site to stop at.

Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada is excellent! Rubicon River is a great whitewater spot near Dewey Campground; lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop by French Meadows Reservoir. Dewey Campground gets much water; throughout the month of January you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

The tremendous selection of local attractions, and such a tremendous variety of outdoors recreation are certain to keep you coming back many times. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yuba River - South Fork, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Tevis Cup Trail. The warmest time of the year at Dewey Campground comes with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows at Dewey Campground throughout the wintertime generally sink into the 30's.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Dewey Campground. A good location for whitewater paddling close to Dewey Campground is Yuba River - South Fork, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Soda Springs is relatively near.
