Dardanelles Campground, Central Sierra Nevada, California   Dardanelles Campground is a very popular campground with the folks of Pinecrest. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stanislaus River - Middle Fork, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Emigrant Trail. Stanislaus National Forest is a tremendous place to stretch your legs a bit; there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Silver King Trail. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Cherry Creek - West Fork, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Dodge Ridge while you're here.
