All through the long summer days at Damsite Campground highs are regularly in the 70's; the night is somewhat cooler of course, frequently in the 40's. At Damsite Campground you can make out The Nipple, and going for a hike on the Burnside Lake Trail is always a good adventure. Man, is there heaps of cool stuff to do in close proximity to Damsite Campground. A visit to Washoe Meadows State Park when you're here at Damsite Campground
is a wonderful idea; there's some flowing water nearby, Middle Creek is a stream you can visit during your stay. The delightful selection of local attractions, and all the outdoors recreation will beyond doubt have you coming back time and again. This is such a great campground.
Paddling on Mokelumne River - North Fork is so much fun, and glorious hiking is available along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13. Float down the rapids of Carson River - East Fork in a kayak, and at Damsite Campground you always meet someone from Markleeville. In California
you never run out of outdoors exciting things. Loads of people camp here so they can go to Grover Hot Springs State Park. There are so many fun things near Damsite Campground, and spending time at this campground is fantastically enjoyable. All the water falling down from
the sky makes Damsite Campground a wet site; most of the snow falls all through January; July on the other hand is the driest. Damsite Campground is a top choice with the people of Markleeville.
