is Horse Heaven Buttes; if you come at the right time of year, Pit River offers some magnificent whitewater. Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the exciting stuff you can do is hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored.

In California you never run out of outdoors amusing stuff. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Southern Cascade Range. Going for a hike on the Chaos Crags Trail is always a great adventure. Cypress Campground is one of the places to camp here in the Southern Cascade Range.
