Summer brings highs in the 80's to Cruickshank Campground, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 60's, and nighttime lows at Cruickshank Campground throughout the winter usually sink into the 30's. This camp ground is one of the brilliant places to camp here in the Santa Lucia Range.

Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Nacimiento River, and why not check out close by Villa Creek while you're here at Cruickshank Campground. This campground has so much entertaining stuff to offer. Peak from Cruickshank Campground, and the Girard Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close by. Many folks pick Cruickshank Campground when they come to stop at Sand Dollar Beach. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Santa Lucia Range will keep you coming back repeatedly.
Redwood Gulch is a great place to look at; you can go for a hike on the North Coast Ridge Trail. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great world it would be. Places like San Simeon State Park are good to have a look at, and don't leave Cruickshank
Campground without first going for a hike along the Summit Trail. This campground is so perfect. Get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Arroyo Seco River, and close by you hit upon the Gamboa Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. Everybody must go camping
occasionally, and Cruickshank Campground in California is just the spot. The yearly rain here at Cruickshank Campground is about average; most of the rain falls all through January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
