The Rose Lion Trail offers hiking at its best, and don't leave Cross Campground without first going for a hike along the Last Chance Trail. This campground is so great. Cross Campground is right by the Upper Sespe River Trail. Paddling on Piru Creek is so much fun; you undeniably have to stop at Point Mugu State Park while you're here.

the vicinity of Cross Campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Cross Campground; Horn Canyon Trail is a delightful local trail. Through the warm days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 90's at Cross Campground. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's.
The wintertime brings highs down to the 60's; overnight lows through the winter for Cross Campground tend to be in the 30's.
