A good vista of striking Graham Mountain is available from Chilkoot Campground; if you come at the right time of year, Willow Creek offers some nice whitewater. This is such a picturesque campground. At Chilkoot Campground you always meet someone from Bass Lake, and hey, Chilkoot Creek is a good local stream. It's out of the question to run out of cool stuff to do close to Chilkoot Campground; it is a delightful escape from the routine.     A lot of folks stay at Chilkoot Campground when they come to check out Yosemite National Park. Chilkoot Campground is a tremendous camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Central Sierra Nevada. So many exciting things to do here at Chilkoot Campground, too fine to be true. Yosemite National Park is a magnificent national park, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Merced River - South Fork. There's so many things to do at Chilkoot Campground including whitewater paddling, and hiking, so it's just not possible to get bored. Chilkoot Campground is close to Sierra National Forest which is a lovely location; hiking is a popular thing to do around Chilkoot Campground; Chilnualna Fall Trail is a fine local trail. So many amusing things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada,   not sufficient time. When you're here at Chilkoot Campground it's always fun to go to Millerton Lake State Park, and do take a hike on the Panorama Trail. Going for a camping trip here in California is something you ought to do. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Central Sierra Nevada. A day on the slopes of Badger Pass is just what you need, and the Mono Meadow Trail offers hiking at its best. Chilkoot Campground gets a typical amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. This campground is always a bliss. McLeod Flat is a pleasant location to stretch your legs a bit, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Buena Vista Trail. Chilkoot Campground is a very popular campground with the folks of Bass Lake. Summertime highs at Chilkoot Campground frequently tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Chilkoot Campground dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights.
