Chilao Campground is a top choice campground with folks of Sierra Madre. Chilao Campground is situated in the San Gabriel Mountains.
The Winter Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and when you're here it's always fun to go to Angeles National Forest. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the San Gabriel Mountains. Chilao Creek is a perfect local stream; Chilao Campground is right by the Upper Winter Creek |

Go for a hike on the Gabrielino National Scenic Trail, and Pio Pico State Park is a magnificent place to stretch your legs a bit. All through the months of summer here at Chilao Campground, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's.
| For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Chilao Campground through the wintertime frequently descend into the 30's.

This is such a good campground. Don’t forget to go to Chilao Flat if you're here at Chilao Campground. So many fun things right next door to Chilao Campground, truly striking. Good hiking is available along the Santa Anita Trail, and the view of Mount Mooney
is pretty.
Some of the things you can do here at Chilao Campground are swimming, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t get bored. This campground is so good. There's wonderful hiking along the Valley Forge Trail, and not far from Chilao Campground you'll find Cogswell Reservoir
which is a stunning lake. A number of folks stay at this campground to be near Angeles National Forest.
There is so much exciting stuff to do near Chilao Campground; it's one of those spots where everything is tremendous. Chilao Campground gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls through February; the driest month of the year is July.
