paddling near Catavee Campground is San Joaquin River; obviously Deer Creek flows through this vicinity. You'll find a beautiful lake called George Lake near Catavee Campground; you can run the rapids of Dinkey Creek. There's such a large number of things to do at Catavee Campground
including fishing, hiking, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored. This campground is so tremendous. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Catavee Campground. Summer night lows drop down to the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Catavee Campground.
