You can run the rapids of San Joaquin River in the vicinity of Catavee Campground, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Red Mountain Trail. What a spot this is for outdoors people. You simply must visit College Rock if you're here at Catavee Campground, and don't leave without going to Sierra National Forest. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always picturesque. A lot of people opt for this campground when they come to pop by Sierra National Forest.
