There's whitewater on Sacramento River for all you adrenaline junkies, and the nice people of Castella like to hang out close by. There's loads of outdoors recreation available in the vicinity such as hiking, whitewater paddling, fishing, and swimming, so getting bored is not something that is likely |
to happen. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Sacramento River, and Castle Lake Campground is right by the Echo Lake Trail.

| Forest when you're here at Castle Lake Campground is never a bad idea.
This is beyond doubt a fine campground. A wonderful lake like Castle Lake next to Castle Lake Campground is a pleasant place to explore, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail. Castle Lake Campground is to be found in an area with lots of enjoyable stuff to do, and it indisputably is a splendid campground.

And that's not all you can do here at Castle Lake Campground. Going to Castle Crags State Park in close proximity to Castle Lake Campground is a great thing to do; there's great hiking along the Castle Lake Trail. Many folks stay at this campground when going to Castle
Crags State Park. Castle Lake Campground gets very little rainfall; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is July.
